What is Wellbeing?

Well-being is a state of being in good health and happiness, both physically and mentally. It encompasses a wide range of factors, including physical health, emotional health and mental health, social connections and overall life satisfaction.

Physical well-being is related to the absence of illness or injury and the presence of physical fitness and energy.

Emotional and mental well-being, is related to the presence of positive emotions and the absence of negative emotions, as well as the ability to manage stress and cope with life’s challenges.

Social well-being refers to the presence of strong and supportive relationships and a sense of belonging to others.

Overall life satisfaction is a measure of one’s life happiness and contentment with their life and their ability to reach their goals and aspirations.
